Preparation for Breastfeeding is offered as a part of the Breastfeeding Success Package. This includes both a home visit which includes a prenatal assessment of the mother-to-be by a Lactation Consultant, preparatory education covering the basics of breastfeeding , and help in arranging the home environment to create an atmosphere conducive to success.  A home visit within the first week following the birth assures that breastfeeding is going well.
